ELYK is a Danish acronym for e-learning, peripheral areas and the development of competence.

ELYK is an EU objective 2  project  between four partners; University College Sealand (leadpartner), University College South Denmark, Roskilde University and KnowledgeLab, University of Southern Denmark. The project will run in a three year period, from March 2009 to March 2012 and has a total budget of 16 million Danish crowns.

It is the goal of the project to develop new ways of developing competence for employees in small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) in peripheral areas in Denmark.
The project works within two overall areas:

  1. Facilitating clusters of SMEs in a network between companies, research and education institutions in peripheral areas in the regions of Zealand and Southern Denmark.
  2. Creating research and development projects in a network between companies, research and education institutions in peripheral areas in the regions of Zealand and Southern Denmark.
